|CSA Cart is a farm marketplace / shopping cart application for processing both CSA distribution requests and retail orders.
CSA Cart was initially developed for a fast-growing organic farm in Vermont that was spending more and more time processing CSA member distribution orders as the farm grew. Since their CSA program was unique and offered CSA members a choice of products, rather than a farm-selected distribution, they needed a unique online marketplace designed to fit their business model. CSA Cart has been created to provide features that streamline CSA distribution operations as well as to provide an online farm market so that the general public can shop for farm-fresh produce and place orders.
CSA Cart allows CSA members to make free choices up to their share size and then 'switches over' to a normal retail market where members are able to purchase additional produce at market rate.
CSA Cart order management is easy with orders being accepted (ready to pack), packed (read to deliver), and delivered (fulfilled). A convenient feature is the ability to print a harvest / field pick list for orders that are ready to pack and an order summary report that can be used to for deliveries.
CSA Cart allows you to organize your produce and products into convienient categories. Your inventory availability is easily controlled using a simple 'Is Available' flag. Inventory items may be flagged as 'On Special' to display these items along the right margin of every market page.
Do you offer eggs in addition to your normal produce distributions? No problem, CSA Cart will help to ensure that you deliver the proper number of eggs to each of your CSA members.
