Pareto Diagrams are used in conjunction with Fishbone Diagrams to show the relative size between contributing factors of a problem. This guideline provides an example of a Pareto diagram.

To complement the Guideline: Fishbone Diagrams, you can use Pareto diagrams. They focus on showing relative size between contributing factors (root causes) to the problem.

Assign percentage factors to each root cause. Draw the Pareto diagram and decide on the top 20 percent of the contributing root causes.
