Purpose

This tool mentor describes how to represent the model the details of Business Workers,  Business Entities and Business Events in Rational Rose.

Overview

The following steps are performed to record the results of detailing business workers and entities:

  1. Create operations
  2. Create attributes
  3. Move attributes and operations

1. Create operations

You can create an operation for a class by:

  • Selecting the class in the browser or on a class diagram.
  • Using the pop-up menu, click New Operation.
  • Entering the name of the operation.
  • Entering a brief description for the operation describing its purpose in the Documentation field.

2. Create attributes

You can create an attribute for a class by:

  • Selecting the class in the browser or class diagram.
  • Using the pop-up menu, click New Attribute.
  • Enter the name of the attribute.
  • Using the browser, double-click the new new attribute to display its Attribute Specification.
  • Review the name and add text to the Documentation field.
  • If the attribute is meant to represent a required skill type of a business worker, change the stereotype to «skill type».

3. Move attributes and operations

To move an operation or an attribute:

  • In the browser, left-click to select the operation or attribute you want to move.
  • In the browser, drag and drop the operation or attribute to the class you want to move it to.
