COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course will introduce students to advanced IBM Rational Functional Tester, Java scripting topics. Students will learn advanced concepts and practical techniques for developing and running test automation scripts. Live demonstrations that support the course material are a central part of the course. All demonstrations and content is based on the eclipse client and java.

This course focuses on functional testing.  The class will not cover basic testing overview concepts, except as needed. Familiarity with the testing role and test activities is assumed.

Develop superhelper class methods
Create custom verification points
Test script error handling
Working with application response times
Connecting to databases from test scripts
Working with XML, CSV, and TXT files
Tracing and debugging test scripts
Scheduling test case execution
