COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course will introduce students to IBM Rational Functional Tester Adapter and topics related to using RFT from a Rational Quality Manager point of view.  Students will learn practical skills for developing and running RFT test automation scripts from RQM. Live demonstrations that support the course material are a central part of the course. All demonstrations and content is based on the eclipse client and java.

This course focuses on using the RFT Adapter and running RFT scripts from RQM.  This class does not cover manual testing with RQM or test planning concepts, except as needed. Familiarity with the test planning and test activities is assumed.

TOPICS COVERED:

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:

Configure and use the RFT Adapter
Import RFT scripts and run them from RQM
Review test logs from RQM
Understand the use of keywords for automated tests
Pass script arguments from RQM to RFT scripts
