Task: Write Release Notes

This task describes how to provide release notes that describe the major new features and changes in the release, as well as any known bugs and limitations or workarounds to using the product.

Main Description

Release Notes provide a summary of what changed since the last release. They also document any known bugs and limitations or workarounds to using the product. Release Notes are enclosed in the Deployment Unit or Product.

A good practice is to create Release Notes for the Iteration Assessment at the end of each iteration. However, Release Notes could be updated and maintained for each build, and then updated for the formal release of the product.
